Numerous prospective studies and recent experimental studies provide evidence that sitting may be harmful to health, even if a person is considered to be physically active. It is still required to have better understanding of the entire spectrum of physical activity levels and their interactions with the associated behaviours and everyday contexts among different populations. Because sedentary work increases health risks, occupational interventions are important for public health. I have prior experience in assessing occupational sedentary behavior and musculoskeletal problems.
