Summary
After completing my PhD in Neuromechanics in 2010, I began an NHMRC-funded Post-Doctoral fellowship at Griffith University, Australia. In 2011 I moved back to Finland to start a tenure track 5 year Assistant Professorship. The majority of my ongoing projects are related to neuromechanical parameters during walking and running, locomotion economy or the mechanisms and function of the stretch reflex. I am also involved in a diverse range of projects such as examining methods of reducing sitting time in the workplace, and brain plasticity in musicians.
For more information about my research see the locomotion lab page.
